The monitoring service which has been implemented within GlobPermafrost is based on user requirements and has been evaluated by the user groups associated with the project (see table below). The requirements were collected via a dedicated survey and by interviews and some results have been published in the 2016 Proceedings of the ESA Living Planet Symposium.

Products and services from GlobPermafrost have been presented and discussed with users during workshops at the AGU Fall Meeting 2016 in San Francisco, EGU 2017 in Vienna, ACOP 2017 in Sapporo, at AWI in Nov 2017 in Potsdam, at EUCOP 2018 in Chamonix, France and at AGU Fall Meeting 2018.

User advisory board of the project:

  • Prof. Toni Lewkowisz, Department of Geography, Environments and Geomatics, University of Ottawa, Canada
  • Prof. Christian Hauck, Department of Geosciences, Universite de Fribourg, Switzerland
  • Dr. Gerhard Krinner, Deputy Director of the Laboratoire de Glaciologie et Geophysique de l´Environnement (LGGE) at the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France
