Release of first data sets and user workshop in November 2017
The first version of the Demonstration Data Set (DDS v1) of GlobPermafrost has been released.
The service comprises
- Permafrost MAGT and probability for the northern hemisphere
- trends from Landsat time series for selected transects (see regional service extents)
- a landcover classification prototype from Sentinel-2 for western Siberia (and wet area indicators from Sentinel-1)
- shrub height maps for western Siberia and further selected smaller areas (see local services)
- for selected sites subsidence, ground-fast ice, land cover from X-band SAR (see local services)
- for selected sites rock glacier motion (see mountain services)

A user workshop dedicated to the evaluation of the services is scheduled for 21st of November 2017 (at AWI Potsdam, Germany)
