The monitoring service which is implemented within GlobPermafrost is based on user requirements and will be eventually evaluated by the users groups associated with the project (see table below). The requirements were collected via a dedicated survey and by interviews and some results have been published in the 2016 Proceedings of the ESA Living Planet Symposium.

First products and services from GlobPermafrost have been presented and discussed with users during the First User Workshop at the AGU Fall Meeting 2016 in San Francisco and EGU 2017 in Vienna. Next workshop:

  • Sunday, 2nd of July, at ACOP in Sapporo, Japan

User advisory board of the project:

  • Prof. Toni Lewkowisz, Department of Geography, Environments and Geomatics, University of Ottawa, Canada
  • Prof. Christian Hauck, Department of Geosciences, Universite de Fribourg, Switzerland
  • Dr. Gerhard Krinner, Deputy Director of the Laboratoire de Glaciologie et Geophysique de l´Environnement (LGGE) at the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France
