GlobPermafrost contributes to glacier and coastal erosion studies - Publications in Nature Geoscience and Remote Sensing

Permafrost impacts the fate of glaciers in mountain areas as well as Arctic coasts.

Two new studies which exemplify this have been recently published:

Kääb et al. (2018): Massive collapse of two glaciers in western Tibet in 2016 after surge-like instability Nature Geoscience

and

Stettner et al. (2018): Monitoring Inter- and Intra-Seasonal Dynamics of Rapidly Degrading Ice-Rich Permafrost Riverbanks in the Lena Delta with TerraSAR-X Time Series. Remote Sensing
